In this talk, I would like to present results obtained for some classical T Tauri and FU Orioni type stars observed with space photometric telescopes at optical wavelengths since 2007. It turned out that coordinated space-based runs supported by multi-colour ground-based photometry and spectroscopy continuously for a few weeks are a useful tool for observational verification of the results of numerical simulations regarding accretion processes in classical T Tauri-type stars. In addition, similar coordinated observations of FU Orionis revealed their potential to study inner disc dynamics and structure during the phase of "episodic accretion".
