| Machine learning methods present a viable solution for automated classification of various datatypes, e.g. image-based data or time sequences. It is mandatory to find fast and reliable solutions to be able to handle the constantly growing enormous amount of data in astronomy. The proper usage of this specific field of AI has a lot of potential in this case and it is also possible that we can exceed human capabilities in the future. During this seminar I will talk about one of our image-based methods we use to classify different types of variable stars with high precision of accuracy. |
