I will describe our library: what can and cannot be found in it. What are the sources of the books, and how can you tell. What happened to the magazines and the observatory publications.
I will show examples of books, manuscripts and what can the reader find in them apart from the text: inscriptions, dedications, occasional pieces of papers with calculations or random texts.
As astronomers needed literature to read in cloudy nights, I will show what have they been reading in the Gellérthegy Observatory in early 19th century.
