Konkoly Observatory’s library is the largest astronomical library in the country, it has a library stock of about 40 thousand documents (20 thousand books and 20 thousand journals, publications). The Institute currently subscribes to the most important databases (Elsevier, IOP, Springer) and the most important scientific journals in the field. We have the very first (and complete) volumes of some of the most important astronomy and astrophysics journals: Astronomische Nachrichten (1823-), Astronomical Journal (1849-), Astrophysical Journal (1895-), Astronomy and Astrophysics (1969-).
