More than a hundred astronomers and astrophysicists gathered at the Assembly of Hungarian Astronomers, held at the Academy headquarters, for a one-day conference.
The Best HPC User award was presented to Dr. Ramon Brasser from the Konkoly Observatory at the Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth
Sciences in Budapest, Hungary.
On 8 July 2024, researchers from our Institute visited Admatis Ltd in Miskolc. The company manufactures components - both flying and ground support - for the European Space Agency's Ariel space telescope designed to investigate exoplanetary atmospheres.
The Hungarian Academy of Sciences announced the winners of the 2023 Lendület research grant at the end of September. One of the 19 awardees is our colleague Maria Lugaro, who won the Academy's prestigious grant for the second time after 2017.
